Abstract
Taohong Siwu Decoction (THSWD), a traditional Chinese medicinal prescription, has been shown to significantly modulate the signaling pathways associated with atherosclerosis (AS). This review explores the intricate mechanisms through which THSWD affects critical pathways like NF-κB, PI3K/AKT, TLR4, MAPK, and mTOR, which are crucial in AS pathogenesis. Through detailed analysis of experimental data and literature, the review summarizes the role played by THSWD and its active substances in regulating signaling pathways for the treatment of AS. The review also emphasizes the unique advantages of Chinese medicine compound in the treatment of chronic diseases caused by multi-targets and multi-factors. Based on the perspective of signaling pathway to reveal the disease targets of traditional Chinese medicine compound in clinical treatment can effectively prove its scientificity and effectiveness, so as to provide new ideas for future research.
