Abstract
In recent years, remarkable progress in academic research has been witnessed in the development of novel techniques and methodologies for identifying active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), profoundly advancing overall research and development efforts. Spectrum-effect correlation analysis, affinity ultrafiltration, high-content screening imaging, and cell membrane chromatography have emerged as pivotal tools, precisely linking the chemical constituents of TCM to their corresponding biological effects, thus enabling efficient screening of active ingredients. Meanwhile, molecular interaction analysis delves deeper, revealing the underlying mechanisms of how TCM interacts with biomolecules, further enhancing understanding of its therapeutic potential. Furthermore, computer-aided techniques expedite the identification of TCM active ingredients, making the screening process more efficient and cost-effective. As a cutting-edge technology, molecular probe technology offers precise and expedited screening methodologies for the discovery of novel therapeutic drugs. With continued technological advancements, this field promises further breakthroughs, ultimately leading to more effective and targeted TCM-based therapies.
